The final round of the 2013 British trials cup was held at the start of the month at Shipley Glen, a brilliant venue. There was a huge entry for this final round, with 2 of the 54 Sport team battling for podiums on the day as well as in the over all standings.
Owen Gawthorpe has had a great season in 2013 and topped that off by finishing 3rd Overall in the World Elite class. This goes to show how much Owen has progressed as he started the year In Elite, which is the class below the world Elite class! Owen also competed in the Junior European championship and took part in his first ever UCI World Cup In September. Massive congratulations to Owen!
The other 54 Sport rider In action at Shipley Glen was Donna Fox. Donna has also had a great year with some mega results in the Senior class. Over the 7 round championship she has podiumed at every event with three 3rds, one 2nd and three 1sts. These amazing results meant she was crowned 2013 BRITISH CHAMPION!
We are very proud of Donna for this result - not bad for a motorbike rider! :P

The first batch of the new Inpulse Blast frames have arrived at Inpulse HQ in France, and they are looking very good!
Information about them is limited so far but there will be a 20" and 26" competition based frame and a 24" street frame

10/06/13 - Donna Fox wins at Fort bill
It was the 3rd round of the British cup this weekend held at Fort William in Scotland, along side the UCI Downhill mountain bike World cup. 54 Sport were unable to be there in Person but we were represented well. Donna Fox took the overall win in Senior, winning on both days of the event, she is now opening up a good sized lead in the championship - well done Donna!
Cross King and King Five had a great weekend as well with 4 riders on the podium using the products. Its great to see these 2 relatively new brands becoming so popular in the UK

28/05/13 - Ben Morphett. TOP 20 In the Scottish Six day trial!!
Those of you who keep up to date with us on our Facebook page - facebook.com/54Sport (Shame on you if you don't!) would have seen the updates about team rider Ben Morphett in the Scottish Six day trial. The SSDT is the oldest and most prestigious Trial in the world and is often quoted as the best trial in the world, with riders coming from all over the globe, from all walks of life to be a part of this magical event.
This year there were 275 starters on the Monday and a total of 217 registered finishers on the Saturday. Ben, finished an Incredible 18th!!!
To finish the event is a great achievement, but to finish inside the top 20, against the worlds best riders, in the worlds toughest event is brilliant and Ben deserves huge congratulations for this (Over the course of the week, his highest 1 day position was 5th!)
The pressure is on for 2014 though, Top 15? op 10???

08/05/13 - Trial Inside Test and review!
The leading online Trials Magazine, France based Trial Inside, recently tested out Inpulses Start 20" and Start 26" bikes. Throughout the year Trial Inside put a good amount of bikes through their paces so they know hat to look out for.
Both bikes received some really positive reviews and offer some great Information about the bikes including geometry and specification ifo as well as their personal opinions on the bikes.

Aurelien on The Start 26"
World No.2 Aurelien Fontenoy has been riding the Inpulse start a lot recently and is really enjoying the geometry and low weight of the bike. He recently took the the win at a Regional competition in France, ahead of some fellow World cup riders - I think thats a good enough sign that he's getting on well with it!

09/04/13 - Good start to the season! - All riders top 10 In the British championship!
It was a good start to the year for all of the 54 Sport team riders. Ben Morphett was riding at the opening round of the British Motorcycle trials championship In Devon. He had a good ride to secure 9th In a very tough competition, top 10 Is always a good start to the year. The rest of the team were in action at the First round of the British biketrial championship at Hook Woods. Andrew McCabe finished 5th In a very competitive Expert class, Scott Wilson made a good start to the year with 4th Place in the World Elite class class (highest class), Owen had a great ride to finish in 2nd place, tied with 1st in Elite, only loosing out on the win by having 4 cleans to the winners 6! Donna Fox had a perfect day, having an amazing ride and taking the Win in the Senior class! Well done to everyone who competed this weekend.

14/02/13: A legend is among us - DONNA FOX joins 54Sport!
We are very pleased to announce that the UK's No.1 female biketrial rider and one of Great Britains most successful motorcycle trials riders has joined 54sport!
Donna Fox has been standing on podiums all over the world for the past 10 years and was part of the British team that won the Trial des Nations in 2006 and 2007. She has been Top 3 in the British motorcycle trials championship over 10 times and made it into the world Top 5 on 3 occasions!
Recently she has started to dabble in Biketrials, with some moderate success..........she has already accumilated mutliple british titles and was 7th in this years world biketrial championship (even after missing a round)

We had a very nice delivery today. Aside from a great batch of Cross King clothing and King Five gloves we also had the new Inpulse Start 26" arrive which we ordered in for a special customer. Options chosen on this bike -White rims and Hope disc brake on the front. Good choice after seeing it and testing it out today!

Cross King have started as they mean to go on by creating some great kit for Trials,BMX,Downhill and MX and have already signed World No.4 Rick Koekoek, Iciar Van den bergh and Hegedus Laszlo to their trials team. In addition to this they also support some of Frances top BMX riders and teams as well as downhill riders and Motorcycle stunt teams!

Inpulse have recently Introduced a new range of bikes to their line up. The Inpulse START range will be priced lower than the R series of bikes but are by no means any less well equiped. There will be the START 20", START 20" KIDS and the START 26" which has been heavily tested by newly crowned Vice world champion Aurelien Fontenoy.

It was a good weekend for 54Sport at the final round of the British cup this weekend. Owen Gawthorpe was crowned BRITISH CHAMPION In the Expert 20" class. After winning the opening 5 rounds of the series and securing the Expert title early, Owen moved up to the elite class and changed to ride 26". Riding the final 2 round In Elite 26, Owen finished 2nd In both rounds an amazing results. Big congratulations to Owen on his great year!
In the UCI World Elite class Scott Wilson had a bit of a bad day, finishing In 5th. But he did Secure 3rd place In the overall series!

- September has been a very busy but good month for us here. The new King Five gloves are doing really well, we have had great reviews about them all. Riders from different disciplines are all commenting on how much they like them. Expect more from them soon!
- It was the Final Round of the ACU British Motorcycle trials championship a few weeks ago. Team rider Ben Morphett had a very good end to the year finishing 9th on the day and ending the year as British Number 8! It was a Brilliant result, especially considering the new rules that were brought in at the beginning of the year which made things very tough.
WELL DONE BEN!
- 2 weeks ago It was the 6th round of the British Biketrial Cup at Hook Woods. Owen Gawthorpe finished in a terrific 2nd place In Elite. This was not only Owens first time in the Elite class - He had won the first 5 rounds of the series riding in The Expert 20" class and elected to move himself a class as he cannot be defeated! - But it was also his first time riding in the series on a 26". Neither of these facts seemed to bother him as he rode great all day, coping with everything that was thrown at him.
It was a good day for 54 Sport.
